Last week, the Grand Water & Sewer Service Agency (GWSSA) visited the Grand County High School to teach students about the importance of water conservation and water resources in our community.
During the presentation, students learned how water travels from the ground to the faucet, the differences between surface water and groundwater, and the distinction between irrigation water and culinary water and their respective uses. GWSSA staff also shared practical indoor and outdoor water conservation tips that students and families can use every day.
More than 130 students attended the event, giving them the opportunity to gain a better understanding of local water systems and the importance of protecting this valuable resource for future generations.
